10. Ray Rice, RB, Rutgers
Rice carried the ball 12 times for 72 yards and three touchdowns in the first half as Rutgers romped over Norfolk State.
9. Tiquan Underwood, WR, Rutgers
Underwood's spectacular pre-conference season continued as the junior caught four balls for 148 yards and a touchdown.
8. Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville
His defense may have lost him his shot at the Heisman, but Brohm did his part on Saturday, hitting on 28 of 43 attempts for 366 yards and a pair of scores.
7. Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers
The insanely gifted sophomore hauled in four passes for 121 yards and found the endzone twice.
6. Andre Dixon, RB, Connecticut
After being suspended for the first two games of the season, Dixon carried the ball 21 times for 131 yards in Uconn's close call against Temple.
5. Noel Devine, RB, West Virginia
The freshman stole the spotlight on Thursday night, rushing for a dazzling 136 yards on only five carries.
4. Dustin Grutza, QB, Cincinnati
Despite finding out that he was going to start just 25 minutes before kickoff, Grutza led Cincinnati to a dismantling of rival Miami of Ohio by completing 25 of 35 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns.
3. Steve Slaton, RB, West Virginia
Slaton continues to put up Heisman-esque numbers, this week running for 137 yards and three touchdowns in WVU's 17-point win over Maryland.
2. LeSean McCoy, RB, Pittsburgh
With Bill Stull and LaRod Stephens-Howling still out with injuries, McCoy was nearly the entire offense for the Panthers, carrying the ball 25 times for 172 yards and a touchdown.
Offensive Player of the Week: Harry Douglas, WR, Louisville
Douglas was sensational in defeat, hauling in 13 passes for a school-record 223 yards and a touchdown.
DEFENSE
10. Danny Lansanah, LB, Connecticut
Lansanah made seven tackles, including one sack and two for loss.
9. Mike Phillips, S, Pittsburgh
Phillips made 13 tackles and broke up a pass as the Pitt defense held a solid Michigan State offense to 17 points.
8. Marc Magro, LB, West Virginia
Magro sacked Maryland quarterback Jordan Steffy twice, and finished the game with six total tackles.
7. Dahna Deleston, S, Connecticut
Deleston earned a game ball from Randy Edsall for making ten tackles, recording half a sack, and forcing a fumble.
6. Eric Wicks, S, West Virginia
The unanimous 2006 first-team All-Big East safety picked off two passes and made three solo tackles as WVU moved to 3-0.
5. Rashaad Duncan, NT, Pittsburgh
The junior nose tackle notched seven tackles, two sacks, and three tackles for loss in Pitt's 17-13 loss at Michigan State.
4. DeAngelo Smith, CB, Cincinnati
Smith picked off his fifth pass in three games, taking this one 59 yards for a touchdown as the Bearcats rolled over Miami of Ohio.
3. Lamar Myles, LB, Louisville
Louisville's man in the middle gave an inspired performance against Kentucky, recording a whopping 22 total tackles, 1.5 TFL, and a pass breakup.
2. Johnny Dingle, DE, West Virginia
The funniest name on the West Virginia team put on quite a show in primetime, notching six tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery.
Defensive Player of the Week: Scott McKillop, LB, Pittsburgh
The heir to H.B. Blades' middle linebacker throne, McKillop led a productive Panther defense with seven solo tackles and 17 total.
Special Teams Teams Player of the Week: Kevin Huber, P, Cincinnati
Huber became the second straight Bearcat to earn the honor by booting four punts for an average of 48.2 yards with a long of 62, and placing three of the four inside the 20.
Freshman of the Week: LeSean McCoy, RB, Pittsburgh
McCoy claims the honor for the second consecutive week by virtue of his performance on ESPN Saturday afternoon.
Team of the Week: Cincinnati
The Bearcats embarrassed the odds makers yet again by blasting rival Miami University by 37 in a game they were only favored to win by a touchdown. Dustin Grutza's surprising performance proves just how effective Brian Kelly's spread offense can be, and the defense continues to put up astounding numbers, now boasting two players with five interceptions just three weeks into the season.
